PEOPLE DEVELOPERS, CHALLENGING YOU TO REACH YOUR FULL POTENTIAL
Yes, WATMEC is one of the longest-standing firms in the training and development industry, but we’re not living in the past. With unmatched experience, best-in-class tools, trainers and learning solutions, we’ve evolved with the workplace – adapting to and advocating for advancements in outcome-based learning.
In the past 50 years, WATMEC professionals have worked in every industry sector, both public and not-for-profit. This allows us to bring best practices, examples and insights from successful enterprises to the table, then cross-pollinate these ideas with an intimate understanding of your specific goals and objectives.

WATMEC Learning Strategists pre-screen all facilitators and evaluate their material to find the best match for each assignment – aligning the facilitator’s specific education and experience with the client’s corporate plan and desired performance outcome. WATMEC’s Team Leaders
Dale Wilcox
CTDP, President & Owner
“One of my greatest joys is to pick up a business magazine or newspaper and read about the success of companies and individuals that we are working with.”
Dale Wilcox has dedicated her career to her passion of education, and in helping both individuals and organizations achieve workplace excellence.
After working with the Perth County Board of Education, Dale was originally hired as General Manager of WATMEC, before taking over as WATMEC’s co-owner in 1991.
Dale is a long-standing member, advisor, past board member, volunteer of the year, and inaugural Chair of the Canadian Society for Training and Development. As Chair, she arranged for CSTD to become a global partner with the American Society for Training and Development – which is now called the Association for Talent Development.
Russ Wilcox
VP, Operations
“We know WATMEC has a reputation for providing effective training. But it takes great people who enjoy their work, having all the right tools and resources. And that doesn’t happen without a plan.”
Russ Wilcox is WATMEC’s “inside man”, with purchasing, accounting, personnel and managing the sale of Assessments being among his many responsibilities.
After serving as VP Purchasing for an international manufacturing conglomerate, his dedication to customer service became apparent as owner of a successful travel agency.
Along with managing the “business side” of WATMEC, Russ gives back by volunteering for several worthy groups as diverse as Christ Lutheran Church in Waterloo, Little Theatre, Power Squadron and the Masons.
